Meet the Team
Giselle Corbie, MD, MSc, is a Kenan Distinguished Professor in the Departments of Social Medicine and Medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She is internationally recognized as a thought leader and scholar on leadership and health equity. With over 160 publications, Dr. Corbie is a pioneer who has built the foundational evidence on engagement to advance equity. She has led local, state and national research and policy efforts to advance health equity. A talented convener of collaborative, cross-sector teams and a highly sought-after speaker, Dr. Corbie leads programs to help leaders and teams achieve the transformational structural change needed to advance equity. Sable Watson is a doctoral student at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is passionate about improving health outcomes among underserved populations, particularly as it pertains to HIV prevention and treatment. When she is not studying or working on the podcast, she is in her craft room, making everything from handmade greeting cards to patchwork quilts.
Rachel Quinto is currently the Center Manager at the UNC Center for Health Equity Research. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2010 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her interests include professional and leadership development with a focus in team dynamics and management. When not giving feedback, Rachel is an avid traveler, foodie, and an escape room enthusiast.

Jamie Sue Ede is a student at East Carolina University working on her Masters of Library Science with an interest in representation and diversity in library collections and research. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2012 from Texas A&M University. In Jamie’s free time, she enjoys potatoes, books, and the Transatlantic accent.

DeAndre Sawyer is a current undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is double majoring in Communication Studies and Global Studies. He aims to help individuals around the world and hopes to use the power of storytelling as one facet to accomplish this. DeAndre supports the podcast with audio editing.
Shelby McLamb is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studies Interpersonal and Organizational Communications and Advertising and Public Relations. Her interest in media is a combination of the analytical and creative side it offers. Shelby supports the podcast through social media promotion.
